A Little Truman Update

Well, as some of you may already know, or as Andrea so smartly guessed.... I am indeed traveling to Cambodia!



I will be leaving March 8 returning to the states four weeks later. I will be staying in the capital, Phnom Penh, working with Partners In Progress.



I will explain more tomorrow as I have been on the computer all day working on another project and my hands are cramping up from typing.



For now I ask that you please keep me in your prayers. While I am confident that this is what God is calling me to do, I am anxious to travel to such a foreign culture by myself!

I'm Baaaccckkk!!!

Soooo.....I've sat down at the computer a couple of times this past week (ok month), but end up just staring at the computer screen not knowing where to start. Then, a very wise friend advised me to just start typing, don't worry about explaining where I've been. Sooo... I'm back! Too much to explain too small a vocabulary. But restasured I'm back and in one piece.

At the very least, for those who still stop by to check on me, here are a few pictures from the past month to give some small montage as to what I've been doing...

My Real Life Griswald Neighbors

In the past week both Jim & Angie have linked to some fun, tacky and otherwise ostentatious examples of holiday lights. However, I must say, they have got NOTHING on my neighbors.

Yes, this is for real. Yes, this video is filmed from my front yard. Yes, it really is that loud. Yes, they play the show every hour on the hour from 6 until 10 pm. And yes.....I love it!

My neighbors are great! It takes them about a month to construct the project and I cannot even begin to imagine their electric bill! So, every night for about 4 weeks I have 20 - 30 people standing in my yard on the hour. It truly is a great neighborhood spectacle!
